I too have been researching this. Several topics return when I do a search for wax.

From what I have read it looks like Collinite is the True Wax recommendation - http://www.collinitemarine.com/

Zymol also got some recommendations - http://www.zymol.com/marinaboatwax.aspx

NuFinish gets some love as a good polish. Bonus is that I can find this at my local checker

A lot of recommendations for a first coat of 303 aerospace and then apply the wax.

Babes Boat bright gets some recommendations at a good post use wipe down wax/polish.

Personally I have not waxed my boat since I got it a couple weeks ago. I did use a polish and water mix when we wiped the boat down after I used it last weekend and I liked the results better than my previous method of vinegar and water.

A recent discussion here and here and here and one more here

I used Starbrite polish w/ teflon twice a season or more and wax w/ a good several layer carnuba based wax before each use. Both have worked well since I owned my first boat and the lake I frequent has very very hard water. Just use 100% vinegar and cleans right off.
