I have the BI V-drive boom on my VTX with Illusion. You either have to have it swept forward, or swept back because of the placement of the tower. I set mine up to sweep back. It works fine, but is definitely not as nice as a direct drive boom. It would be soo much nicer if the ski pylon on the VTX would extend about 2" higher.

I have a Sunscape 20 cut diamond with Illusion (same as VTX) and I also use the Barefoot Internation V-drive boom. Set mine up to extend in front of Illusion with an extra boom extention (18"). Sits perfectly resting up against front side of illusion tower and extension keeps you out of spray granted you don't have too many people on the boom side of the boat. Don't have any close up pictures, but I'll try attach a few so you get the location and amount of spray.
