Yeah, the surfing was new and alright, not my bag, but something new. Now... a skyski... THAT would be fun.

A new person looking at the posts after the WOW might get offended by something that happened and make the idea in their mind that it is a free for all when it's totally not. We need to be carefull describing the fun times we have at them so as not to drive away new WOW prospects.

Yea - People also need to take a risk and come meet the people they spend so much time chatting with (on-line) on a regular basis. If nothing else, it is a camping trip, in which they have an opportunty to meet everyone. It isn't a super huge commitment... on all WOW's I've been to, there are always a few people that are sorta doing their own thing, and just pop in for a bit. That is totally fine too...

I would really like to meet many of the people on the site, and will try to get to a WOW one of these days. It's good to hear you say that it is not a "drink fest".

Several years ago ( pre-kids ) I and my wife went with a group for a couple days on the lake. It was a total drink fest. Not having kids, it didn't bother me too much at the time, but it does factor in to why I haven't tried to make it to a WOW yet. It sounds like there is a much tamer group at WOW. I will try to arrange to attend a future one. Like I said, it would be great to meet many of my imaginary friends.
