Prop Question

I bent a blade on my prop this weekend and am looking for a replacement. I have a 2000 Sunsetter VLX. It currently has a 4 blade prop on it. I bought it used this past July. What I don't know is the direction of rotation and the shaft diameter.

I found a 14 x 16, left hand rotation, 1 1/8" shaft on ebay. They say it's for a Mastercraft. Will this work on my 'Bu

Why don't you just get it repaired and save some $. Repair only costs $150, new prop over $400

i have an oe acme 537 that came with the boat that i don't use. will sell it for $350. never been used.

edit: now there is an example of a grammatical error. i do use the boat, i don't use the 537.

I know the Direct Drive Crafts use a splined shaft. You will want to verify its not a splined prop if you decide you need the spare. But as Jimmy said, you can repair them.

I just saw the ebay listing. Its for a keyed, not spline shaft. So it would work if its the pitch you need. That I can't speak to.

I figured I would buy a new one and have this one repaired as well. This way I have a back-up.

i have an oe acme 537 that came with the boat that i don't use. will sell it for $350. never been used.

edit: now there is an example of a grammatical error. i do use the boat, i don't use the 537.

What pitch is it? Is it a 4 blade?

It is the prop that came stock on my boat and, i believe, malibu boats for the past many years. it is 13.5 in diameter, 16 pitch, 4 blade.

yes it slotted for key stock to hold it in position.

Can someone confirm for kumanj that this prop will work on his 2000 vlx?
