Mysterious Piece Found at Bottom of Engine Compartment

Recommended Posts

On either side of your engine there should be a divider that separates the engine compartment from the storage compartment on either side of the engine. These dividers were held in place by the screw knob that is shown in your picture. The threads that those knobs threaded into stripped out very easily and many were repaired by through bolting through the mounting cross piece which eliminated the need for those knobs.

The piece you found is not important for the operation of your boat.

The old skool wakeboard binding thumb screws happen to be the same thread dia. and pitch. They seem to work better because they're not so large and sticking into the trunk area.
