Oil gauge Fluctuating

Recommended Posts

malibubarfootr

When i was out on the water yesterday I noticed my oil gauge was fluctuating up and down by about a difference of 20-40 PSI? About a month ago The Edge was supposed to have replaced the oil sending unit. I am not sure if this is a cause for concern or if it is normal to have this happen when you are just sitting in the water. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Normal.

However, since changing my Oil Sending Unit and Pressure switch, the fluctuation has been better in my boat. Mine does not "bounce" around as much as it used to, but at idle it is lower and at cruising speeds it is higher.
