When doing a search for any "three letter" word - the site's search function will not allow it.

For example "oil" comes up with an error. Is there a reason for the 4letter word minimum?

yea, that bugs me too. You can use google to search the site, but that does not work nearly as well. Sometimes you have to think of other reltated words and search for that, but sometimes its almost impossible. I woudl be interested in hearing why too.

Okay, we'll give it a try. It's a compromise, because by allowing 3 character searches we aren't able to use full text or advanced searching features. But we'll see how this goes.

This always drove me nuts trying to search for oil change information. Hopefully u can find a compromise to make it work!!

Give it a try as it is & we'll see how people like it. I personally like the advanced searching features, but there are times when you need to search using 3 letters. Right now it's either/or, not both.
