We've been playing around with the boat for the last couple of weeks, and was wondering what other vtx guys are running for the setup. Rope length, wedge postion, ballast setup? Are you guys using the wakeboard advanced preset or switching it up slightly to get the best wake?

We just fill everything up and pull the wedge up slightly. With the wedge up a touch, it seems to shape the wake a bit better than in full down position.

We have a diamond hull and we do the same as the bsoss and then add some people (the best ballast) or a couple of extra sacks. The kids run at 23.5 MPH with a 70 foot rope.

What do you guys recommend for sacs that will fit the vtx?

I am going through this right now and I think either the fly high nautique wedge sacs (42x18x16x6) or the fly high mastercraft x2 rear bags(32x20x18). I know people are using the fly high 400 lb v-drive sacs but I don't think they will fit as well as the other two I mentioned. I think I will be going with the nautique wedge sacs (400 # each). Also have two 155 lb fat bricks.

Riding at 65 ft at 22.0 MPH or depending on the day 21.0 MPH at 60 ft back. Full MLS ballast.

Maybe I am not good enough yet but I don't care for the wedge for wakeboarding. Lots of people (or the fat sacs I want to get) seem to make the wake big but a little rampier instead of lippy and steep.

Would never give up the wedge though as it really helps the surf wake and one day I will hopefully be good enough to use the wedge comfortably.
