When I first got my boat the dealer showed me how to power the boat on the

trailer. I wore the carpet off within the first season. The lake I go to doesn't

allow power trailering. I put the trailer in deep my wife idles on the trailer

then winch up the last foot. The boat drops down on the trailed as I pull

out. As a result the bunk carpet lasts for years and no scratches on

the hull.
