Figured I would start a thread so everyone can detail your boat, what your preference is, i.e. wakeboarding, barefoot, air chair, etc. I think this will help others help advise when questions arise about mods, repairs, buying, selling, etc..... Just a thought.....

AF1

I have 1994 Malibu Euro F3. 5 kids, I am intermediate wakeboard. Trying to teach the kids to get up on wakeboard. Just bought a new kneeboard with hook for ski rope so kids can get up easily. Only had the boat 3 months now and we are loving it! I am seriously looking at buying an air chair for myself. Awesome videos I have seen.

Anyhow, tell us what you have and what interests you.....

Thanks Rockon.gif

working couple, two young kids....son (8) is just starting to water ski and daughter will learn this summer (3). have a 89 malibu sunsetter which I spent most of last summer restoring....glass work, stereo, mechanical, teak, trailer mods, etc. etc. etc.

i've only had the boat for over a year...but started to wakeboard late last summer and really, really like it. i'm not sure how much I will ski this summer. wife is starting to get better on skis and is hoping to go slalom this summer.

LOVE college football, NFL, beer, friends, campfires and mt. biking/lifting...tough to beat a day at the family lake cabin (doesn't matter if gas is $10 gallon -we'll still do it)!

Married to a wonderful wife, 3 kids who on the whole are great kids. Small business owner since 1993 who has a bit of a problem with working too much. On the water it goes: slalom, tricking, barefoot and wakeboarding (in that order). Playing, coaching or watching hockey. Most things Canadian (poutine for those of you who may know what it is). Woodworking. Helping teach my kids (3, 6, 10) to ski, foot, wakeboard. Travelling to anywhere in the world. Helping others out that are less fortunate. I'm sure that I missed some detail, may have to use the edit button sometime.........

I am a 51 1/2 year old industrial construction electrician and instrumentation techniciain. Married 20 years with 19 & 18 year old daughters who are both in college. They are third generation skiers who enjoy the show skiing scene. They are the base skiers in the avatar. I still love to ski and have pretty much done it all on and off skis. I have been a skier since 1963 and barefooter since 1967, and still do it (foot) once or twice a year. Was a club member throughout my teens and early 20's. This will be our 6th seasons with the Bu, and how I now regret not buying an inboard skiboat sooner. The hours of use each season is dropping off as the family gets older and now have other responsabilities. My old Winner runabout would see over 200 hrs a season when the girls and I was younger, my brothers and their kids too. Our Bu is pretty standard having just the Moonsoon, silent riders, glass platform, engine room soundproofing, and pop up cleats as options. No sound system because where we vacation there are no radio stations.

I have many hobbies, the main ones being engine repair and maintanence, or just plain fixing things. Enjoy the challenge of keeping old things working, as I feel I can pretty much fix anything. Even most of my skis are nearing 40+ years old, as is my Winner boat.

I also brew the beer I drink and make my own maple syrup. Play basketball in the winter and baseball in the summer (over 40 leagues). Also enjoy camping, which is how we (actually everyone) spend our 3 weeks of summer vacation.

Hey Guys and Girls,

My name is Kevin, I am 22 years old and have lived in California all my life. I work in Law Enforcement currently as a 911 Dispatcher. Graduated college last year with a degree in Criminal Justice. Last July I attended the Police Academy which is 6 months long, but sprained my left shoulder 3 months and 2 weeks into it. (SUCKS), but I am looking to get back into it…Sooner or later… Biggrin.gif

My first trip to the lake, was 1 month after I was born and what can I say, I have been in love ever since... We just sold our 1987 Reinell (which my parents have owned since day one) and now we are looking to buy a Malibu or Sanger…

I enjoy… Kicking back with family and friends and spending time with the girlfriend of 5 years. Shooting my guns, lifting weights, paintballing, playing xbox360 live (call of duty 4) or jamming on my bass guitar, watching Hockey, camping… and soo much more… lol Thumbup.gif

I started wakeboarding last year and absolutely LOVE it…. Before all I did was knee board and water ski… Once we get our new boat, I would like to get into Wake Surfing… Thumbup.gif

I just want to add, THIS SITE ROCKS and THE PEOPLE ON THIS SITE ROCK Rockon.gif … It’s nice to have a website to ask questions and get real honest answers….Thank you

Hey Kevin! Do what you need to! The big thing that I have found is that a Malibu is a boat that is built by people with passion and FAITH!!! But, the owners of Malibu's are truley what make the difference to ME...you won't find BETTER people! IMHO Biggrin.gif

Good luck on the search!

SO besides wakeboarding, one of my big ones is Mtn biking, I love it! Unfortunately this year looks like more biking, less boarding, my first kid is arriving in July and gas prices are killer, so as of now it looks like no boating till at least sep, but maybe even next year Cry.gif

I am a narcissistic self deprecator who knows everything. Wife, two boys, and a new baby (06 LSV). With an 18 month old I don't get to have hobbies but I enjoy snowboarding, longboarding, paying bills, and yelling at kids to get off my lawn.
