Need some help changing roller on trailer

Can someone give me some help as how to remove the nut so I can change my roller? It is like the one on the following link...

I just pulled mine off last week because my keel roller was in rough shape also.

I basically chisselled away at it until it cracked in half. Took about 5 minutes.

I use a Dremel tool with a cutoff blade and slice it on 2 sides. Comes right off-takes about a minute.

Good idea w/ the Dremel. Would have saved me some time and agravation.

Wake 00,

Do it the smart way and tap the sides of the nuts all the way around the outer perimeter with a hammer. This will compress the "fingers" inside and the nut will come off easily with minimal damage to the shaft.
