Help with drive shaft strut removal

Recommended Posts

Does anybody have experience with removing the drive shaft strut? wondering if the bolts are through bolted and if there are nuts on top accessed via the HDS or are the bolts taped in the fiberglass like they are in the tracking fins ............more later

Yep, you've got it. Through bolted into the compartment. It's clear sailing once you get the lid off the HDS, but that was harder than it looked on mine. It took lots of careful runs through the marine sealant with a strong thin blade...

Best of luck!

When you seal everything back up make sure you put a good silicone sealer on all the strut bolts and around the strut when bolting it back in place.

Same for the lid on the HDS.
