i might as well get in on the discussion on this 1 year old topic.

After hearing the problems that using the wrong chemicals can cause to the stitching and maybe bring up a warranty issue, there is not a chance i would use them.

I'm well aware of what they do to the gelcoat. I sometimes use them to remove black scuff marks on my white gelcoat. You just can't scrub too hard :rofl: Although, acetone works better and is safer on gelcoat.....

They do the same thing to the vinyl they do to the gelcoat you just don't notice it as much. There is a protective coating on the outside of the vinyl that they do remove.
