Engine alarm, don't sound when a put the ingnition on

Recommended Posts

I have recieved the new VLX this week Clap.gif . Was at the dealer today to break in the engine. I have noticed that the engine alarm doesn't sound when the ingnition  is on before to start the engine. According the owner's manuel it should sound. Any suggestion? Do i have to activate it ?

my concern is that if one day it is necessary that it sound (overheat or pressure loss), it won't..... and i can ruin my engine.

Make sure the little thin wires from the alarm are connected to larger wires from the engine. One large wire should black (-12 volts) and one should be tan ( +12 volt alarm output from the ECM).
