Samson Mirror for Illusion Tower

I just got the new mirror for the bu today and can't wait to put it on tomorrow. Rockon.gif I've searched the forums and didn't see anything about trailering with it on.

My question is: Do you take the mirror off when you trailer to the lake ? It looks like it would be a bug magnet at the least but is the mirror sturdy enough to travel. Most of the time I am traveling only 30 minutes or less. TIA

I take it off along with the wakeboard racks

keeps them bug free and secure

Had a rack stolen at a gas station once

Thanks, my plan is to take it off every time, but I guess mybiggiest concerned is that the plastic piece might strip out over time.

Bugs I can't attest to, but it's sturdy and secure enough to travel no problem. It probably wouldn't be hard to steal at a gas station, but I wouldn't be concerned it's going to fall off.

Maybe I should have phrased it better, the plastic piece I was talking about is the quick release it self.

I mounted the mirror and it looks great.

Gotcha. I take mine off every time, it's too quick not to IMO.
