I would like to buy a tower mirror for my boat but can't tell if the stock skylon swoop tower is 1-7/8" or 2"? I have tried measuring it with not alot of success and short of buying a mic to measure it does anybody know from experience what it is? Dontknow.gif

BTW.. the boat is a 2002 LSV with the stock swoop tower.

Sorry to waste everyones time...with a little further research I found out that it was 1-7/8" Closed.gif

My Swoop is 1 7/8". Also - there has been several discussions on the Swoop tower mirror syndrome on the 23' LSV like we own. I think I have been involved in most of them, so you could search my name if you want to find them. The deal is, the towers are located farther back on our boats in relation to the drivers seat/windshield, etc. This causes the mirror to basically be "above your head", and difficult to use. I tried Three mirror arms and none would fit far enough ahead to work so I returned them. Then I talked to Scott at Samson (Sampson?)Sports in Washington & he mentioned that he had a left side mirror arm. I got it & put it over on the observer side & it works well. Good luck with the project.

Your post came in while I was typing mine!!! I was looking at getting one that has an adjustable "elbow" did you try one similar to it?

Yes, it's been a few years so

I don't remember the brands, I think one was a Swoop that articulated, but it also had a mount that looked like Jaws, so I didn't hardly tighten that one down. The first one fit the tube real nice & it did articulate, but the first section of the arm just is not long enough to get it far enough forward. When you angle it at the "elbow", it is barely ahead of your face, but quite a bit higher, so you almost look straight up to see in it. Try one, but just ask before you order it if returns are a problem. Wakeside rides were good about it & so was Samson when I returned the rh mount arm, before I ordered the lih mount.
