Malibu Wedge

Well I've gotten in to wakeboarding a good bit this summer.... I think I like it as much as snow skiing, however I'm working with making the wake better behind my 1987 malibu skier with ballast sacs and what not. I would like to know if a wedge would work behind my boat, if anyone knows of anyone with one behind a boat like mine, or if it's even worth it behind a boat like mine. The sacs are cool they do great things for the wake, but I'm trying to get just that little bit of extra wake while trying to free up some space inside the boat... or if it would do any difference with the sacs in place... any suggestions?

The transom of your boat is not designed to support the additional force that the wedge will put on it. IIRC the earliest model year that a wedge can go on is a 1993 or 1995.

Any boat with the SV23 or newer hull can support the Wedge, so that would be '93 for the Echelon, '95 for everything else.

Alright thanks!! I guess i'll just buy a VLX and get it over with HA I wish!
