Lots of us power load weekly and never get deep gouges. HOW?

Hi @janine22, how did it go with the 350? If you ended up with that size of motor in the 23 lsv, how did it perform for you? at this altitude? was it able to surf well with the boat loaded with people and extra ballast?

2004 malibu response lxi
Steve B. replied to Brendonwitmer's topic in Maintenance, Tech Info & Troubleshooting
They respond quickly to email questions. Not sure but I think they do have various kits and one may well plug and play for you. I replaced all. On mine, the other gauge was the speedo and the upgrade turned it into GPS, rather than the pitot type. It was worth that alone. As far as the install, knowing how to do it now, I could literally do it in 5 minutes easy. -
M6 all the way for sure. There would have to be a lot else about that boat that I don’t like to choose the 450. It was a good option during its time but compared to the m6 it’s no contest.

Compression Test results - Thoughts??
oldjeep replied to Seattle12's topic in General Discussion Area
Supercharged and turbo motors are typically lower compression. -
23mxz has had the same hull since debuted until it was redesigned in 2024

Illusion X Tower Springs / Adjustment / Expectation
Powerstroked replied to Powerstroked's topic in Modifications & Accessories
Getting a late start on my winter project... Overall dimension 44mm. Length is 39+153+43 mm= 235mm long (Inside hook to coil to Inside hook) Coil is 5mm thick. 29 coils. Using a luggage weight tool, I can start to spread the first coils with 45 lbs of pull and get decent deflection with 70-80 pounds. My two racks are ~15lbs/each (30lbs )+ Two 8 inch tower speakers ~7lbs/ea (15lbs) + bimini, lights, (~15lbs) and tower itself. -
The latter...of course.

Totally sucks. Did they tell you or did you have the tell them?

I'm looking at a 2020 23MXZ with a Monsoon 450 engine and 2021 23MXZ with a M6di engine. Someone told me the hull changed between 2020 and 2021? Is this true, or is there any other differences between 2020 and 2021? Is the M6di better than the Monsoon 450?

Got 30% off from my last deal with local. Don't plan on going back there though.
-
I totally get that. But if you have an issue that needs warranty or the vinyl loses its cooling benefit, that’s no fun.
-
Well the boat tracks straight now when under way.....but they scratched the hell out of the hull power loading it on the trailer. Always something...

Assuming you have a local dealer other than Tommys, I bet you could get close to that price/discount from them. And not have to deal with hassles of shipping, warranty, or (potential) bankruptcy.
-
DAI, that pretty close to the out the door they showed me, but mine was on a 2023. Dealers who are still Malibu dealers showed me 28% off left over 2023 & they didn't have the BS $5000 Prep & Freight Fee added in. I will say, the guy I talked to said don't be afraid to show me a lower offer.

That is the exact same thing we put on our RV ABS shower walls and shower pans we manufacture for the RV industry. I am not saying this is right or wrong, but it is a basic CYA statement.

If the first quote is true, “their” 4% doesn’t matter. It’s what M&T is willing to take.

I was pretty sure the only thing you can use on it is a mild soap. Babes made a version, but nothing else was approved as far as I knew.

Dalt, is that an order boat or something they already have on the lot?
