Here is what Knoxville sent me on a 2024 LSV23. $183,700 out the door.image.png.13f70189ff0653468cfb4e7f6ed80de5.png

      That's a 255k MSRP - didn't know the 23LSV got that high....

Texasred -  Can you help me understand this situation a bit better?  I'm looking over the salesmans notes and quotes to you, and from my seat, something isn't lining up.  If we somehow gave the impression that we won't do everything we can to earn your business and take care of you after the sale then that is on us!  I will be reaching out to you today to see how we can be of assistance.

Thanks for following up and wish you the best on what’s ahead. Too bad the offer on the leftover was too high. Would have liked to purchase a new Malibu since I’ve owned this brand for 25 years.

    • I've had around 10 23LSV's. A couple of 23MXZ's and now a 24MXZ.

      1. There are a few differences other than length. IIRC, the 23MXZ moved the helm back 3" to make a larger bow than the 23LSV. The 24 has a few things standard that the LSV has as options. The M6 I believe is the base motor for the 24MXZ. The 24 has a storage compartment on the Starboard side with an aluminum door that the 23 doesn't have. Seems like the 24 has one more cabin speaker on the Port side, this may have chaged on the redesigned 23 BICBW.

      2. Not familiar with this other than gel pattern.

      3. 24 has a bit more room than the 23 with the extra length. I think the 24 rides and takes wake crossings better. Fit and finish would be the same. Surfing is very similar depending on ballast setup. On my 24, the more people I have in the cabin area, the less rear ballast I carry. I think people tend to over ballast these new boats with the idea that more is better. I constantly see people say there's more spray and bow dipping with the MXZ. I don't see that. You do need to drive a MXZ like a MXZ. The bow nose is wider. You have to make sure not to dip the outside bow points. More spray? I just don't see that.

      4. Surfed a SL several years ago, nice wake but I don't see the quality or resale value compared to Malibu. This might of changed in the last few years, I really don't keep up with that.

(Love my 24MXZ, not going back to a 23 LSV or a 23MXZ)

Seems like there are lots of checks and balances in place to prevent that.

100% agree with that statement. And with the present situation being what it is, the checks and balances either failed or were ignored by all the players. Hence my point that Malibu is culpable to some degree, it's just not known yet (though as others have pointed out, there have been resignations that have had interesting timing).

If it makes everyone feel better, I'll say it this way for you: Malibu MAY be culpable.

    • the plate looked fine and so did the contacts. There is a little spring that the screw goes through....so I guess it allows the plate to bend in the center and the edges would come up to break contact? I suppose if the calibration is off and the motor just keeps running, I could see how it could get hot. This certainly could have happened at some point and caused some melting...and ultimately a failure at that point in the picture. Although that point is a metal tab and a metal pin...that somehow got loose a bit so not making good contact.
