Unfortunately, that seems to be the “current” prices out there.  No plausible reason for that ridiculous price on a fuel filter/o-ring as far as I have been able to determine from researching it.  It’s a custom made filter for Malibu with the custom made price tag.  Haven’t had any success finding a cross reference filter.

Thnaks.  Unfortunately I thought that might be the case.

    • Bought a 2016 wakesetter. The electric driver seat is in the full up position. Was told the motor is bad. Scoured the internet but cant find a motor to replace it. Dealer says 1700 bucks. Id like to see if if i can do it myself. All the parts websites including Malibu dont have it. Any ideas?

Sometimes the manuals aren’t all that great

Agree, but generally a simple search finds what the answer so it's useful to point first time posters to the manual, suggest they read and search themselves before asking same questions over and over.............

Rant over. Wish it was was summer here as then I'd feel better!

I haven’t really been able to test. I’ll try soon.

      Any luck @NorCalSurfer

    • Sometimes the manuals aren’t all that great because they reference oil like penzoil “marine” which they don’t sell anymore under that label.  I have been going with chevron delos oil because some super smart dude on TMC verified that it has the necessary marine additives/stabilizers that the motors require.  In all honesty, even more important than the specific brand/label of oil you go with, is the frequency of which you change it.  Change it at least every 40-60 hours or at the end of the season every year and you will do yourself a lot of favors!
