Back the hose fittings out. 5200 into the crack and on the fitting itself. Hose clamp around the cracked fitting on the tank, snugged up.

Screw hose fitting in snug, don't popeye it.

Tighten the hose clamp on the tank fitting up.

Give it 24 hrs to dry.

Thanks for the info. I have thought about 5200, but wasn't sure if it was something that work with plastic on plastic. Have you by chance tried this solution? Seems like maybe you have.

      Hi everyone,

Hoping I can get some advice or thoughts on purchasing a boat this fall that is currently used as a demo boat. We are looking at a 2020 22 LSV that they expect will have +/- 200 hours. This has been appealing to us given how much cheaper it will be as opposed to buying the same boat brand new.

Curious what you all think and am open to suggestions. We are not set on this approach and are also considering looking for used 2019 22 LSV or even 2018 23 LSV.

      Thanks in advance!

    • Hi There,

I'm a new owner of a late 80s Malibu Skier. This is our first boat and we are having a great time learning. I am beginner/intermediate with my mechanical skills but hope to do everything I can to learn about the boat. We've had several runs out to lake now and they've all gone relatively well.

My huge fear is my boat not starting after I get all prepped up and go to the lake.  Is it worthwhile to use a fake-a-lake and start the boat in the driveway before heading out to the lake? Is it ever un-safe to use a fake-a-lake? I've read mixed things about it and curious to hear what you guys think of it. I'm not sure if it makes any difference if I'm on  an older boat.

Also - this is unrelated to my topic title, but what is the proper starting procedure to start the boat. Boat in neutral, turn key on/start? The last few times I had to start the boat and give it a little rev until it would turn on. Is that normal?
