How did tuning go? I've spent about an hour messing with my 2.3 and 2 pair of rev 10's. They still have a "tinny", piercing sound.
What are your settings on the amp and did you take your bass and treble to zero on the HU before tuning? I just installed the 2.3 for 4 rev8s and got it pretty dialed. Also, the inputs have been scoped so it is safe to tune at max volume of 45. This info was straight from Tim and the WS guys. I use the ohms law formula and my wife's iphone with a test tone app at 1000hrtz. When the phone is plugged in it automatically drops to -7 db so that's what I use. Alot of people tune at 0db. Tried a USB stick with the tones but it won't play them. iPhone app hardwired is better than bluetooth tuning in my opinion if u can't get a USB stick to play tunes.Edited by st22eve
@Michigan boarder - I have been running a 449 for a couple of years although with recent engine build probably will go to a 425 or will add more cup to the 449 as there is plenty of grunt with the engine config I am running. I used to run a much modified 653 where I added quite a bit of cup which made it a pretty nice prop, got it cheap so it was a fun experiment. Both the 653 and the 515 I ran did seem to flatten a bit over time. My boat does not have a lot of resistance since pretty light but I do transmit a fair amount of power / torque from the shaft side. (Note - I don't recommend anybody copying my prop selection for their application, my boat is not as delivered).
I use one of these for my mission pad and love it, no cords.
It is a pricey option but it's a TON of Soft Grip. It's not just the floor in the storage areas, it's on the sides and everywhere. It's even on top of the hard tank ballast in the rear. There's a ton of it in the OB storage area as well.Edited by Suggy
Also, if you don't select it they are not carpet lined. It's all finished fiberglass. On the port side, there's a removable mat.
