I just put my 2022 23 LSV with the M5 in the water for the first time.  On the test drive, I noticed the same thing - that the boat felt under-propped.  I couldn't see what prop was on the boat when I test drove it before buying.  Once I bought it and got the window sticker, I saw it was the same as yours (3537).  This thread was so helpful for me - I ordered the 2805 about a month ago.

Before launching yesterday, I swapped to the 2805 and wow, what a different boat.  So quiet and turns much fewer revs.  With 100% fuel and two people it easily hit low 40s too.  I have the Sumo 650 PnP bags installed and it easily got on plane with full wedge and all ballast full.  Really excited about how well it performed!  Bring on summer!

      Great feedback, thank you.

My 3537 is now a spare. I took it to a reputable prop shop and they are adding some pitch and cup. I'll report the results back.

    • I would easily spend $10-15K more for a new leftover (if colors, options, etc. all worked for me) to have that new warranty and a dealer relationship.    I'd also be upfront with my potential dealer that if they don't have a leftover that fits me, I'd buy a 2022 and hope they would provide me great service.

Just picked up my 2023 m220. This will be my last boat with Wetsounds stereo. I will do stereo delete on all the rest of my Malibu boats. The digital tuning on these amps is hot garbage. Don’t even get me started on Malibus stupid plastic boxes. The sub rattles so bad when the bass hits my wife thought something was going to explode on the boat.

I should have known nothing has gotten better with the garbage tuning and box I had in my 2020 Malibu. I know Wetsounds is good stuff, but you’d think Wetsounds wouldn’t want their name on this stuff and let it leave the factory like this. There is no way a Wetsounds tech would listen to this stereo in my $200+ boat and say yeah good to go. Send it out.

      So fricken frustrating!!!!

I will post pics of the box I took out. It had so many gaps and missing screws it was embarrassing.  The speaker mounted in the box had literally 4 screws into it and the sub is a shallow mount sub. WTF would they put in a shallow mount sub?  Makes zero sense.

      Tale as old as time…

Funny you mention that. Local car shop I go to offered to take a look -- head guy said he's well-versed on boats. Problem is they kept putting me off; said they are swamped, will do it next week, etc. I'm already missing out on days on the lake so Malibu will have to do. Plus, I'm not sure it's the carb. I was hoping fuel filter change would help but no dice. I look at today's modern boat and can't help but think that when mine pulls up to the shop, guys are excited to take a break from working on electronic screens and power wedges. I'll report back any findings.

    •  Everybody needs to relax…

There will be new Malibu dealers in EVERY affected market by July 1st and many well before that.

Sit tight and just watch the show. Surely you can survive without a dealer for 50 days.
