Yep same issue I had.  This will sometime cause O2/emissions codes because leaks in the systems bleeds fresh air into the post cat sensor causing the ecu  to think there’s unburnt O2 in the system where it shouldn’t be. 

+1 on no fluid in the motor cavity.  I would think you will need to find that leak and replace that seal/oring.  Would probably need to replace the hydraulic oil that leaked out and clean the electrical side real well with electrical contact cleaner and dry out before reassembly and testing.

Likely you could get away with replacing just the midbass drivers. In each speaker as that’s probably what blew. 

The Rev's should come out of the cans, so you won't need new clamps, just the new speakers.  Of course if you go to 10's I think you will need new cans and everything.

We have a 2016 malibu wakesetter 23LSV. After tower speaker trouble last year we were told that all 4 of our REV8 tower speakers were blown. The price from the Malibu dealer to replace is $3900. We have a G3 tower and I am looking to purchase REV8s online to replace the speakers. What type of clamp do I need for a G3 tower? Fixed or coming. Trying to get the cost down. We have also considered replacing with 2 REV10s (going down to 2 tower speakers from 4). Suggestions?
