    • Funny you mention that. Local car shop I go to offered to take a look -- head guy said he's well-versed on boats. Problem is they kept putting me off; said they are swamped, will do it next week, etc. I'm already missing out on days on the lake so Malibu will have to do. Plus, I'm not sure it's the carb. I was hoping fuel filter change would help but no dice. I look at today's modern boat and can't help but think that when mine pulls up to the shop, guys are excited to take a break from working on electronic screens and power wedges. I'll report back any findings.

    •  Everybody needs to relax…

There will be new Malibu dealers in EVERY affected market by July 1st and many well before that.

Sit tight and just watch the show. Surely you can survive without a dealer for 50 days.

We have a deposit in with Tommy's on a new build. Manager said the bank now owns our boat under receivership. We would like our deposit back and buy a used boat elsewhere. What are the chances of getting that deposit back?

The dealer we purchased our boat from closed a year after our purchase.  We have been using Tommy’s in Rancho Cordova, CA and have an appointment tomorrow to have our screens replaced (under warranty) along with normal service.

What I find interesting is when you go to find a dealer on the Malibu website and type in our zip code, we get No Results.    We are in Northern California.  Find it hard to believe the site would not direct me to a dealer, even if it is 300 miles away.

I will post an update tomorrow after our boat is dropped off. Thanks to all who have posted informative updates on the current situation.

I wish you good luck. My experience has been horrible with them since I bought the boat last year.

Well, we shall see on the flow rate.  I was excited to find something that close.  Too add to task, the injetors don't fit.  When I talked to the tech at Indmar, he explained somewhere along the line the pilot on the injector was enlarged by GM.  He expected that my year would be one of them affected.  He advised reaming the hole using a shop vac to collect the cuttings.  The injector hole in the intake is stepped. The smallest hole is for the seal.  This size matched. There is a pilot above the seal. The OD of pilot of the replacement injectors is 5/8".  The hole in my manifold and the pilot on the old injectors were 1/32 under.   That step is in process now.  I will grab some photos.

I ran into the same issue with replacement fuel injectors. I bought FJ164 injectors and had the same problem with the enlarged pilot. Instead of boring the manifold, I used emery cloth on the pilot to get it to the right size.  It took a few hours, but it saved me from risking metal shavings in my intake.
