    • If I may ask, why won't you consider a 5.7L engine?  I don't ever need anything near full throttle for getting up, and barefooting is plenty fast for me also.

    • it is the Monsoon idmar 335 5.7 Vortec Caburator.  I have followed the fuel line from the Fuel tank all the way to the fuel pump and the only filter I see is the Water Separator canister style right below the fuel pump.

What engine do you have?  If Monsoon II, 2003, is the fuel pump and on the side of the engine block opposite the starter?

    • Thanks for the info. Checked all connections and cleaned them and had into the dealer for a week. No luck. Sender is fine as it works on other side. If I remove the sender and short the wires on the harness it reads 100%, when I just plug back in it gets no reading like and open circuit. Have reseated the PM4 harness and sprayed cleaner into all the connections. Malibu seems stumped and our dealer is not the brightest and waiting for Malibu to tell them next steps. Very frustrating as I’m basically without a working ballast tank now.

it’s like something is adding resistance to the circuit between the sender and the PM4. But without taking the full boat apart I’m not sure of the next step? Replace Power module 4 completely? Have them re-wire from the tank to the power module from scratch?

My bet is on a bad power module somehow.
