Thanks. I don't ever get near newer boats, so I was curious.

No. Moving the engine or strut would affect alignment.
However, I’d look more closely at your weight, and your prop. Specifically the outer edges of the blades and the pitch of the leading (bow side) edges. Also, check the key between your prop and prop shaft.
Are you sure you don’t have any buddies who were talking about how they loved your prop and maybe swapped it out for you?

Out on a week long camping trip with my 2017 22VLX and had the same problem. Same issue too, power for amp was pulled out. Not a very secure connection, when I get home I plan on soldering on some connectors eliminate the problem permanently. Very weird to me that it’s just a friction connection for such a small wire. Glad Malibucrew was here for me yet again!

2014 VLX
Malibu Touch Screen has been glitching for last 2 yrs. Thought i had electrical problems knowing how sensitive those displays are to voltage fluctuations, but after troubleshooting realized the screen was delaminating, making it freeze sporadically. Power cycle always fixed, but pretty inconvenient since couldn’t control surf gates or wedge mid session.
Malibu wanted $4k for replacement unit. Decided to buy the DIY fix kit from MTC. Was pretty intimidated by the project of pulling that unit apart and rebuilding; however, it was very manageable. Took 2hrs from start to reinstall and crushing on water. $1300 vs the $4k. YouTube instructional videos made each part of process simple and approachable. Would recommend to any one of most any skill level. It’s theoretically brighter and more responsive than factory, but I haven’t noticed that. Works just as the old one should have. See pics for before, mid and after.
hope this is helpful to yall!
