    • How many hours on the boat? Ever change the plug wires??

    • I have an 01 Malibu Sunsetter. When we weight it down to surf, the boat runs great when listed on the port side. However, when weighted and listed on starboard side it makes a sound as if air is causing the prop to sputter intermittently.
I have asked a mechanic and he thought that it might have something to do with the rotation of the prop and the fact it rotates in a counter clockwise direction.
My good friend has the same boat, same year and I have surfed behind his boat many times on both and never experienced this happening.
Hoping it’s not a very expensive transmission issue. Any Thoughts?
Would trying a different prop be a start?

      Thanks

    • Hi guys had a loss here on my power wedge. The other day is working great then all of a sudden stopped and it's stuck down. Even press the buttons I get no power or don't hear a motor or the actuators like I used to. The fuse and that all looks good. I just have no idea where to go from here. are there any other fuses in the boat that I should check other than below the dash? 2008 Malibu 247 LSV. I really appreciate the help.

No 2 harlequin golfs had the same paint scheme. That way every idiot who bought one could be assured they were a unique snowflake.

I had a similar event last summer that seemed to resolve after we put some heet in the gas, so I am hoping that will work again.  In the meantime I wanted to see if the crew had any other suggestions.

Last summer I replaced plugs, cap / rotar, and fuel filter.  After all that I tried some heet and that worked.  Fast forward to today and I got the same error codes again and the same rough running engine that seems to require about 5-700 more rpm for my typical ski run. This is exactly what happened last summer.

I did recently put a new battery in and added some new 93 octane that wasn't ethanol free about a week ago. Oil pressure, voltage and temp all seem fine when I took the kids out for some tubing after skiing this morning.

      Error codes:

oil press spn  100 cm 0 data valid but below normal range  17 oc 127

mapsensor spm 106 cm 0 Voltage short  or below normal range  4 oc 127

cyl 1  Misfire spn 65591 cm 0 Mechanical system not responding properly 7 oc 127.

      Thanks in advance.
