Just took out my 2016 lsv23 for first time on Shasta lake and the steering is very intermittent.   The steering wheel takes about 6 full rotations to barely turn the boat.  Double checked surf gates..not out.  Ballasts empty,  I just bought the boat and like a dumbass didn’t test drive.   Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as well as any smart remarks.  Thank you in advance

Can't go wrong with either, I would recommend the stern thruster in which ever you do decide. So handy for around marinas docks and loading. I find that even with not much wind it can really push the boat around with all that free board and the weight of a larger boat. And threads are always better with pics. So here's a few of the one we purchased.

Yeah I think if the LSV had been better options it would have shown better.  I'm excited about the M wish it was a full 23' though.  Think it's down to just the M or the Supra now.

Just curious how you think it stacks up against the rest. I kinda jumped on the deal I got. I was very impressed with the boat but I didn't really go looking at much else just a 23 lsv but preferred the 220. Coming from 2012 vlx it's leaps and bounds in my opinion, but like I said I didn't look outside of malibu. And am limited to length due to garage space.

    • The ski locker lid needs recovering; so, I took it off the boat and took it apart. I found some discouraging problems with the structure of the hatch lid. It is made of an aluminum honeycomb material. Light and reasonably rigid. However, there were SS screw in it and where the screws had been screwed in and completely evaporated due to electrolysis. How is it that a boat builder doesn't know that aluminum and stainless steel don't mix? It is also cracked at the hinges. I have new vinyl to cover it. But what's there is not worth recovering...

This shows the aluminum honeycomb where is degraded where the prop strut bracket screwed into the hatch. Has anybody replaced the hatch? What did you use in lieu of the aluminum? I am leaning toward using 5/8" plywood, which will be heavy, but I can be convinced to use something else.
