    • No problems last weekend. Today when we got on the water and turned the radio on there is a consistent rapid static-y popping noise coming from what seems to be multiple speakers (all but tower?). Can hear the radio but low volume and popping is much louder. Last time out had to jump batteries after floating and listening to radio for about an hour. Had the batteries on trickle all week and they took full charge. Nothing has changed since last time out and don’t think anything would have been bumped in the storage area where the amps are. Puzzled. Any suggestions on what we can check? We’ve powered off/back on. 2016 24LSV.

A bit of an update. We headed to the lake last night - same one I had the high temps driving to last time.

Not much wind but air temps were about 10* warmer (low 90*s). Towed the boat with my Grand Cherokee L. It did much better than I anticipated. Road manners weren’t any different than the Ex. I never saw about 187* transmission temp. I was actually impressed with that.

Got a call from the dealer the Ex is at this am. They are working super fast, just buttoning everything up now.

Replaced the cam phasers (said they were shot). I’m amazed the last dealer saw/heard no problems with them.

New timing chains installed as well. New valve covers and water pump. New transmission and new transmission cooler. New front diff.

Around $20k worth of work a month away from end of warranty.

I am super impressed with the new tech and dealership. Disappointed in the last dealership and surprised ford would put out a product like this.

      You're cleared as sane!

My steering had to be completely replaced on my 26. It took from January 2023 until June 2023 to get it resolved. If it’s tight at all, there’s something wrong. Mine steers better now than any boat I’ve ever had. But don’t get me started on the electrical and electronic issues. Those wires hanging down under the gunnel while seeming cheap and unfinished are the least of my issues. And yes, wave is best I’ve ever had.

I know you said don’t get you started, but…… care to elaborate?

    • Mike, 104k? I think you should be happy with that all day, you definitely timed that buy perfect it looks like.  I  Haven’t seen any deals close to that since I’ve been looking.  Seems most are in the high 120-130’s.  Prices are def off from the crazy times, but they don’t seem to have collapsed yet, maybe in the fall.

Yep, pretty accurate portrayal of this purchase,  but this definitely won’t be the last.  The current one is only 25 years old & running strong, but it’s time for an upgrade.

    • Thinking of trading up to a 23 MXZ. Any feedback appreciated. How is the wave, stereo, storage, build quality etc.? Coming from a 2017 21 vlx so expecting a significant upgrade. Am I way off base?
