    • I paid $104,700 for a 2022 with 20 hours.  No trailer, so I bought a new Malibu trailer for $7,900.  This was in January.  Great options and colors I loved.  The PO never opened any accessories.  The Malibu cooler, surfband, mirror, etc. were still in their boxes.  Not a mark on her, and she still smelled like the boat show when I pulled back the cover.  :-)  The PO did invest in Sumo PnP bags, extra Phender Pro's, and some other nice to have items. I was able to get the warranty transferred no problem and just got a letter from Malibu welcoming me and showing the transferred warranty details.  About 3.5 years left.

The market has slid since I bought the boat, but I am still very happy with my deal and my boat.  I've always had "OG" Malibu boats and those have held their value like a savings account.  I realize buying a much newer boat won't work that way, but honestly I plan on this being my last boat.  Based on your posts, you and I probably think about the purchase in a similar way.  You don't want to make a bad decision, don't want to overpay, probably think about how to exit in the future if needed, etc.  I mean, these boats are crazy money...I paid less for my first house in 1994!

That said, the summer is getting away from you @Horns1!  Pull that trigger, make a good deal, and enjoy the hell out of it!  :-)  Also, post pics of her when you get her!

Here is my build sheet and a few pics of her:

    • I was talked out of a crossover boat by two ski coaches.  Purchased a lightly used 05 Response LXi and I couldn't be happier.  If you are serious about slalom and ski in a course, you have no other options.  Good luck driving that crossover in the course with a good skier behind!

      Thanks Horns 1,

I'm looking at a 2013 Response TXI with 170 hrs, and condition is about a 9 out of 10.

The Response might be one of the harder boats to judge price on right now, strictly due to the lack of them for sale. So this might be a large range, but I’d say $35-45k depending on options. $45k would be on the very high end, more realistic to purchase high thirties I think. Our local dealer has had a 2014 for sale since the fall. Started at 45k (maybe even 52??) I believe and just dropped to $40k ask price, probably willing to take anything over $37k if I had to guess.

You can also plug it into NADA/JD power as well like someone else said. Pay attention to if the trailer is already included in the model or not and throw on reasonable options. Like someone else said, this is what the bank will go off as well to loan you. Unfortunately there’s no way to input condition or hours, so it’s not as great as KBB for cars and what not.

    • Great idea. Will definitely try this.

    • Can try here too: https://www.onlyinboards.com/soldboats/

For search purposes you might want to search the 2012-2015 TXi. It was largely the same boat with minor tweaks here and there.
