    • Watching slalom this morning and it can be dangerous to checking account. :)

I see HO has on sale the HO Omni 2022 for $259 or the Omni Carbon 2022 for $339. I will be getting size 69" and I'm just an over weight rec skier. 6', 220lbs.

Probably splitting hairs, but is the carbon worth the extra  $80. I still have to get bindings, but not worried there.

Details are clues, the more you can provide the more the crew can help.   For example, “first time out with the boat in three years” might suggest bad gasoline.

What engine temps did you see and how long was the engine running etc, what rpm did you see the issue? What is your maintenance history? (and what tow vehicle just for fun)

Heck, just knowing what engine they have would be great.

@jphilip, do a complete tune up.  This includes plugs, plug wires, cap, and rotor.  I would also recommend using a can of carb spray and cleaning the inside of the throttle body.  Open the throttle so you can get the edge of the butterfly and all of the little side passages clean.  No sense trying to diagnose an engine with worn out expendable parts on it.

Putting the trans in gear on the trailer and out of the water should never be done, the shaft bearings need water for lubrication.

In gear dry, I agree.  I have in the past used a second garden hose to keep the strut wet while I was diagnosing a shift problem.  It really doesn't take much water to cool and lube the bushing.

As for @JOwen, it should be very easy to pull the exhaust manifolds to inspect them.  They don't get hot like car manifolds do, so the bolts should all come out without much problem.  Indmar specifies Permatex black or copper with no gasket when installing them.

    • Bakes directions on replacing the pps mentions disconnecting the throttle mate from the engine. Are the talking about the shifter cable at the engine/trans or?
