If you didn't have an audible alarm, and you suspect the engine overheated, then you may want to verify the alarm system is functional before operating the boat again after these repairs are completed.

Performing a cylinder compression test and inspecting the exhaust manifolds would probably be a good initial step to help narrow down or rule out the cause and extent of the damage. If the engine oil still has water in it, then change the oil and filter. FYI, raw water impellers may last 2 years, but it is a good preventative maintenance to change them annually.

At neutral it’s volume zero and then at 4mph you can’t have a conversation and the sub is trying to rattle the steering wheel off the shaft. I like that it auto adjusts, but the scale right now is way too aggressive and I can’t find a way to edit this?
i set mine to #3, nit sure exactly where on the Garmin it lives, but 3 seems good. The only trouble I have with this is you cannot adjust any of the volumes while the boat is underway, it just keeps skipping back to display the main screen on the head unit. You have to go to neutral on the throttle to adjust individual zone volumes. Master volume seems OK, but needs to be in neutral for individual zones.

So, my front trailer bunks literally crumbled on me after rotting. I have some treated alder cut to shape and drilled in the right location. My plan was to drill a larger hole a cm or two into the wood to counter sink the head of the bolt so the hull of the boat doesn't come and then carpet over that so the boat doesn't come in contact with the bolt. However, I'm realizing that once I have that in place, I have no idea how I tighten the locking nut since I can keep the bolt from spinning inside the wood (or to be able to loosen if I ever needed to replace again).
When inspecting the other bunks, this seems to be the way they are in installed on my custom (Extreme) trailer. When originally installed, how did they ever get those locking nuts tightened?
