Is it the Diamond Cut hull or the Wake hull??

Dont know about the new models, but my 07 VTX on Diamond hull skis almost as well as my '97 Echelon.  I can easily ski the course behind it, altho it does take a more skilled driver in the course than a direct drive.

      It's the Diamond Cut hull

    • You have the suggestions here.  Smaller diameter, higher pitch prop.  Less weight, especially at the stern.  Maybe try 50 lbs up in the bow.  Bump the speed.  Shorten the line.  If none of that works, find an older crossover, or do as many others here have done over the years and have a dedicated ski tractor.

If your wife is THAT serious, you should consider the latter point anyways.  Zero Off in a VTX doesn't have the same feel as Zero Off will in a tournament direct drive.

    • Looking at picking up a first Foil board.  I doubt that anyone in my crew will ever get beyond low-intermediate, but would like a board to at least get us there.  Reasonably priced boards seem to be the Liquid Force and now this one from Doomswell.  I really like my Doomswell Neo, so I'm wondering if anyone has experience with this foil.  Is it something to learn on and progress at least a little?

I was thinking the same thing. The cobalt dealer in Denver has been around forever. But they don’t sell very many boats.

I was really hoping this would be the case for MI. Colony Marine has locations in Macomb and Oakland counties and is a cobalt dealer... but I don't think its happening, they are sticking us with another oakland county dealership from what the rumor mill is telling me.

Huge bummer, was thinking Malibu might want representation on one of the largest lakes in MI with 150,000 registered boats.
