I was always curious how hard it is to make screen for a off the shelf chart plotter.
The new lenco actuators are nmea2k, they have every imaginable sensor or analog input for nmea2k.
I I'd love to swap my dash to a off the shelf chart plotter and build a nmea2k network on my boat.
Speed controller is one of the more difficult things also. I haven't found a off the shelf watersports based speed control that talks nmea2k yet. Even pavati has a separate display for the speed control.

it wouldnt be that hard to just make the circuit and firmware.. the problem is a lot of the Wake about engines have proprietary canbus FW, you would have to become a partner with them which I'm sure the Wake boat brands would not love... there is a workaround you could put a circuit in between the throttle by wire and the engine and intercept and calibrate it to work.. attached .. wouldn't be that hard to make the circuit but it would take several months and testing to sell quantity.....1? haha

    • +1 on the Marine Torq SS manifolds from @justgary.  If I had a manifold replacement job on my hands, that would be my choice.  The cast iron manifolds are HEAVY.  Weight is bad in slalom boats.

    • Well good news is buying some lever connectors solved the issue. All four grey/black wires into one lead mated to the new harness and voila, gauges are live.

    • You can get the real ones for not much more - I just helped my friend last year on his 2005. Or install the cast iron ones.  Either is a diy job if you’re handy.
