    • I bought from place @Bozboat mentioned above, then found them cheaper at Bakes!

    • Just came across this thread, and catching up.

I have been having issues with my brakes as well.   I only have brakes on one axle.  I'll save a lot the boring details.  New coupler/actuator and master cylinder (parts were obsolete to try and replace).  My master cylinder was rough looking internally it was empty of fluid, crusty, and dirty.   Then issues bleeding lines.  I ended up taking all the lines loose.  Master to main line was rubber and needed to be replaced d/t being too short with new coupler being longer.  Main line down the trailer was a hard line.  Main line to axle was rubber.  Then hard line to left caliper and hard line to right caliper.  With each section loose I used brake cleaner and compressed air to make sure the lines were cleaned out and free flowing.   There was quite a bit of debris in each line when I flushed them this way.  I couldn't get brake cleaner to go through the rubber line (main to axle line) at first but eventually it freed up the blockage.  I also pulled the bleeders and drains from the calipers and flushed them with brake cleaner till the fluid ran clear out of them.  Then I hooked all the lines back up, this finally allowed the brake fluid to flow through the system and for me to actually bleed the system.

I did end up replacing both calipers since one was seized but that was after getting the fluid to easily flow and stay clear and debris free.

    • Kicker's 8" marine coaxes are getting enticingly priced (last week $192, this week $179).  I'm wondering who has given these a listen and specifically, whether they are an upgrade from the wetsounds 6.5s that came in my 2021 A24 (I believe that these are the "basic" recon series speakers).

I'm running 100w per channel to my cabin speakers and don't envision changing up amps to push any more power to them.

Thoughts from those who've heard both strongly appreciated!

    • I usually end up using a full quart when I bleed a trailer, you can use a fluid sucker to suck the old fluid out of the MC first, refill with clean, then start with the furthest rear axle and bleed it.  The forward axle should not need near as much to get clear fluid out of each bleeder as the main lines should be clear already.

    • My trailer tongue, at the surge actuator, has "XR84" stamped to it.

Search shows the replacement part for the whole MC assembly (minus the metal structure) is DX44FR.

      I also see a cross-ref to 054-127-22

I think the following retailers have it:

      • etrailer
      • brakes for trailers
      • trailerandtruckparts
