Just put my 2013 Response TXi in the water for the season. Driving from the launch to our pier the boat was listing to the starboard side. Never did that before

Hey guys. I've got a 99 sportster that was starting to hesitate before turning over last year. It was worse this spring but always managed to get me home. Lots of battery power and no clicking, battery is a year old and always has lots of charge.
I assumed it was the original starter so I just ordered a replacement from ski dim. Went on easy, thought I was golden. Went to fire it up and it still has the same delay/hesitation before engaging the starter. Do you think it's a key mechanism issue or what?

I did this in my observers compartment last year. Got tired of reaching in to grab a dry towel only for them to be wet from water coming over the bow and entering the observer compartment. This works great. Keeps all my stuff dry and allows air flow for carpet to dry out quickly. Gonna do my bag compartments this year.
