I’ve been dealing with this misfire issue that seems to show up at idle speeds. Took the boat out today and it didn’t show any active codes (this was the third warm up and cool down cycle) but it did seem to run tough at idle a bit. The dash read 12.5-12.8 volts at idle. I checked the the batteries last night before the trip today and they were both 12.6 v. While cruising the dash only read 13.1-13.3 volts. Could this be my issue? How do I test my alt? Should I just replace it?

First time out in old 91 caravelle started fine but put in gear and just stalled. cleaned carb replaced points condenser and tips. took back out and ran strong for about 10 mins. Then started to miss some and kept getting worse until it only wanted to run a slightly higher than idle. At a little higher rpm it would still miss and every so often it wanted to quit. Replaced the gas/water separator and ran from clean new extra gas tank but still ran the same. ????
