Here's some of the mods I've done to my 2006 Malibu VLX Powdercoated Chrome Dash - $40 Rip Off Old Tribal Decals and Give Her a Buff - Free.99 (unless you need compound... $44) Seat Riser - $78 Weight... LOTS of it... but also a custom bracket to hold it in place - $289.99 + $60 (per bag) Easy Fix to that Peeling Monsoon Engine Paint - $12 Obviously a Good Wakeshaper to Build That Launch Pad - $325 And the Best for Last... a CRANKIN Sound System - $$ Lots of Mula What mods am I missing that all of you have done to your older boats to make them good as new?

    Hey all, Hoping you can help provide some insight for me as I begin my search for a new boat. I’ll start by saying I had an 06 21’ VLX that I sold in 2013 and this would be the first boat since that one. We have really gotten into surfing over the past few years when our on the lake with friends and family and are looking for a boat that has a superb wake for surfing along with plenty of room for friends. We unfotunately can not afford many of the brand new boats from Malibu (budget less than $95K) and are presented with a few options. Should we consider a brand new 21’ VLX, 21’ MLX or pursue a slightly used 2016-2018 23’ LSV or 22’ MXZ? Wake performance is obviously really important to us, but so depreciation curves and maximizing the value of boat for the $. We of course plan to demo each of these and see for ourselves but would love to get your thoughts as well all. Thank you in advance!

    I’m currently looking at a 2007 wakesetter vtx with 440 hours on it, perfect pass, ballasts, the norm for asking price of 36k usd was wondering what everybody thought, boat is in very good to excellent condition and has been in fresh water and stored indoors and covered it’s entire life. Private seller so ideally would like to get him down 2k if possible. Thoughts?
