2014 A20 heater issues

Hi

Lots of steam from under the dash, hot water is going into bilge. How do I stop the flow to the heat exchanger under the dash? Where is it fed from?

Many thanks

Trace the heater hoses back to the motor and hook them together - or unhook them from the heater core and hook them together there - leak is likely the core, not the hoses.

Hi, just join them together so there is a contant flow loop or cap them individually?

Thanks

Constant flow loop is probably better.  Some engines require the heater loop to flow.  SBC does not, but you didn't say what engine you have.

Monsoon engine, disconnected the 2 hoses at the dash end to winterise, core was empty. Put them back on to start the season and lots of steam coming from under the dash and through the vents, also noticed bilge filling with hot water. Wondering if I have put them back wrong, flow and return? But that wouldn't explain losing water?

Monsoon, looping sounds like the best option, might need to do it at the block end though, possibly a leak midway between block and heater, hard to follow pipes
