2004 LSV Ballast setup

Is everyone drilling holes in the “sidewall” of of the ski locker and corresponding hole through the floor I under the observers seat? It looks like it should be straight forward, but wanted to check with folks. Not sure if there any “don’t drill” areas around there. I’ll make sure to avoid the conduit and copper headed back to the engine. 

it looks like I’d be pretty safe drilling through the floor there as there is already a pretty large hole there for the intake vent. 

 

second, I’m thinking about putting a board up toward the back of the area behind the observers seat to mount the 4 reversible pumps. They are each 7-8 lbs and I’d prefer to put that weight up front for several reasons. Any big objections to that other than needing to buy and route additional fill/drain lines to the front of the boat? (I know I need to replace the vent hose). Also I would probably run the HDPE board to the floor so the fiberglass on the back side of the seat isn’t supporting 30Lbs+.

Needing to do the same to my 2001 LSV. Did you complete this yet? Feedback on what you learned would be appreciated.

@Bushmankev  For the ski locker, I went just to the right of the battery cables. I made sure they were out of the way and drilled pilot holes first. It was kind of awkward, but there was plenty of room. I’ll have time to take some more pics in a few days. Standby, and if I forget… DM me. Thanks!

@Bushmankev sorry for the delay. It’s kind of tough to see, but I have 2 holes drilled through the floor in the “top right hand” corner of the floor under the observers seat. The holes are pretty close to the dividing panel for the bow area. That drops you into the ski locker with 2-3” of clearance. Just watch for the power cables. 
 

I’ll try to get a few more before I put it away for the winter.
