Response LXI 2003 to 2006 stereo upgrades

@Ssh78 here are some pics for you, its basically a chromed piece of aluminum, not real complicated, rounded edge, and screwed in from behind.

You can see the Aux cable that we use for music to the original head unit.  hate the look of that, which is why i want to do something different

 

Back of the remote mount, not real fancy

side view, is a surprisingly thick piece of metal, didn't have a tape, but i would guess roughly 1/2 inch.

You're welcome.  The bluetooth media center I installed is located where the remote was located beneath the helm almost directly under the key.  I don't have a picture of my boat and it's still hibernating, but if you look below the key in this photo that's the location I used.  I actually plan to move the sub to the footwell.  

If your foot panel is removable easily then you got tons of room down there, here is my similar 97 echelon with 12" sub box at 1.3ft3 sealed. Kick panel is more permanent on my boat and ive also got a battery back there.

Itll take some time but you can make a good enclosure down there

Transom remote
