22 LSV vs. 23 LSV

The difference between the pcm 409 and 450 6.0 GM motors will be negligible (according to CARB database, horsepower is 363/374, and torque is 340/351). IMHO this is really within the range of variability one might see between a "monday morning" 409 and a "friday afternoon" 409.  Def not in the same league as the M6.

Still a 23 would do a little better than a 22 for surfing just for having a bit more length in front of the drivetrain.  Plus probably an easier boat to sell when the time comes.  But I wouldn't expect a perceptible difference in power at all.

Thank you, very helpful. That's disappointing to hear but would rather know up front! Hmmm....

Concur. IIRC, the 450 extra power (over the 409) isnt until pretty high rpm. Something like up to ~4krpm curves are identical, then they diverge slightly for the final 1krpm (where you hopefullyarent surfing).

Aka doesn't matter for surfing, maybe for wakeboarding, but not much difference in performance at all.    I'd still lean to the 23 just for future resale and overall comfort if it's basically a "free" upgrade.

My two pennies...  The surf wave is has more push on the 23.  The room and storage is WAY better.  I went from a 22 to 23 and was shocked at how much more room it had and was impressed with the wave over the 22'.  This is comparing a 2017 22' vs a 2022 23LSV so maybe it isn't a great comparison.  Just wanted to throw it out there if it helps.  I defiantly agree on the resale.  I think a 23 will hold more value than a 22 regardless of year it was built.
