perma gap plugs?

Changed out short block on 5.7 indmar couple years ago. Thought I should probably change the plugs after several hundred hours. When I got the same ACDelco number 41-101 they are regular Jplugs. What came in the short block were these permagap plugs. What's the difference? and is it safe to put these standard plugs in place of the permagap.?
