1999 Sunsetter Depth Finder Replacement

Looking for suggestions for a fairly painless replacement unit. Prefer thru hull.  Thanks.

I purchased this Hawkeye on eBay for $45. [eBay item number:324264801379]  I am very happy with the in-hull installation on my 1999 Sunsetter LX.  Very accurate readings.

I spent hours trying to snake the cable from the dash to the hull.  Then, I discovered the easy route for the cable.  Let me know if you need this info.

Install is easy, but there are some downsides:
- The beeper.  That awful beeper.  It is crazy loud.  And it beeps 3 times every time it gets powered up.  And when you change settings.  Solution is to try to rip it out, or do what I did: tear a small piece of cloth and shove it in the hole tightly, sealing it in with several pieces of electrical tape.  Now the beeper is pretty tolerable.
- Backlight is on all the time and green

Otherwise, it is a nice unit, seems accurate enough and I've had no issues with it.  Replaced my Lowrance 3500 where the display went out and you can't find replacements (except for once in a while on eBay for $400).  The transducer is larger than the original so I had to drill a bigger hole, which wasn't a big deal.
