After having both of these in car form in a  Suburban and then a Yukon Denali, there is something special about the 6.2. It's a torque monster and an absolute pleasure to own. I can only assume it's the same in the boat.  Propping down to compensate for the M5 will mean reducing the top speed and running higher revs.

I had a 5.3l GDI in my '16 and now have the 6.2l GDI in my current boat.   I am a skier and not a wake-sporter, but can confirm the upgrade through the mid section is significant between the two engines.  The 5.3l had a very robust and smooth power band and was more than merely adequate; but the 6.2l is just crazy through the mid range and does run at a lower RPM range at skiing speeds.

We are in the same process as you @Merk.  Almost bought a 2020 with the M5, but decided against it for many reasons.  Our 2021 build will have the M6.  Our dealer told us the M6 MSRP is $5,950.

I placed the order last week and the upgrade to M6 was $4700
