2000 Malibu Escape windshield trim paint is peeling

I am looking for the correct paint to repaint the peeling trim on my 2000 Malibu Escape LSV.

Anyone know what type of paint will adhere properly?

I pretty sure they were powder coated. Mine has rubbed away in a couple spots And a kid thought is was fun to scratch it off before I noticed. I’ve been looking at vinyl wrapping the sections that need it.

If my 99 was powder-coated, it was the worst powder coating I've ever seen.  I suspect it was sprayed.  I wish they'd have just anodized it.

Very common issue with this era of windshield frame.  They all do it. 

I plan to pull mine, tape off everything, give a light sanding and just respray it with a rattle can.  I hear trying to take the framing apart and putting it back together is an awful project.

I plan to vinyl wrap mine this coming offseason.

My windshield frame is also peeling.  Where do you buy this vinyl wrap you are referring to?  I love the idea.
