Malibu Touch Command screen delamination

Hi Guys, Yes I'm still alive and enjoying my BU! And yes the ultimate is happening now,

MTC Screen number two is fading fast and I'm over joyed to hear of  @cuescreens being able to repair them.  The one in the BU is still workable, but fading as I mentioned, my first screen is completely toast,  I have it here at the Lake and will be shipping it to MTCscreens shortly.

So on this note, @cuescreens, you had mentioned of a promo code for us here on the TMC, I've looked through these posts but don't see any mention of a code. Please help! As I'm wishing to place an Order ASAP. 👍  and thank you for the diligence in your research to come up with this solution!

Hi All, Just wanted to add another review for the MTC Screens repair. I sent my unit in over the winter and received the repaired unit in a few weeks. Everything looked great. When I installed the unit it was very unresponsive and basically unusable (during a very cold MN winter). I emailed customer support and they said to get it in the sun for a bit to "break in" the screen. Once I did this it has been working perfectly. In addition they offered to send out another screen so I could return mine if the issue persisted. Very happy with the support and cost vs buying new and have high hopes that this is a long lasting solution. Hopefully this helps if anybody has a similar issue to me at initial install.

I just replaced mine with a tablet from wakescreens.com Chris is the owner/engineer . Less that a 1/3 the price as a new screen. Everything works great. That being said if you're able and o fix my old one I'd love to have it for a backup.

Just wanted to throw an update on here. I did the MTC fix from cue screens. It’s been sitting on my counter for the past few months and I finally decided to tackle it. I was worried about messing it up but honestly it was super easy and only took about a half hour. Everything fit well and the screen looks and works like new. Hopefully this will be a forever fix. If not, I’ll update here.

Thanks again @cuescreens

So I have a question for which I would like some input.  The MTC on my 2011 VTX was starting to delaminate, but was still working perfectly fine.  I replaced it with the Wakeswitches solution with analog switches, as well as being able to add a keyed ignition, which my year boat did not come with.  I have been extremely happy with the replacement and have much more peace of mind on the water.  My question is what to do with the MTC that was in the boat.  Right now it is sitting in a box not being used.  Should I just hold onto it and include it with the boat when it comes time to sell the boat, which will likely be at the end of the season next year?  Should I try to sell it as is?  Should I get the delamination repaired and then sell it?  Or....?

I tend to be giving in scenarios like this.  If you know you are on the verge of getting rid of the boat, I'd just hold onto it and give it to the next boat owner.  Who knows, it may help with some resale value.  The next buyer may not want the switch option..

Wakeswitches

Hi Folks, here's a quick wakeswitches progress update. Over the winter we have updated the graphics on the control tablet, and Bluetooth audio integration to your stereo is now standard. Even boats without existing Bluetooth audio will gain this functionality.

We are now searching for owners of 2008-10 Wakesetters who may want to beta-test the tablet for these boats as a replacement/upgrade to the MUX panels.

We're also searching for 11-16 Response owners to beta-test the tablet as a screen replacement/upgrade.

If you're interested in assisting, please reach out here or through our website.

I hope everyone is excited for summer to arrive. It will be here before we know it!

Cheers,

Chris

I have a 2008 Wakesetter 247 LSV and I would potentially be interested in the beta-test depending on the details. All my MUX switches are currently working fine but a tablet would be pretty sweet!

I could be interested as well, but what’s it look like for the smaller form factor of the 08-10 MUX switches?

Great question. I need to take some measurements and make a custom mount.
