What glue should I use on the front vent mesh cover

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have a 2011 Wakesetter 23 LSV and the mesh on one of the front vent covers has come away from the stainless trim.

I have removed the cover and it looks like the original glue has perished and is breaking off the stainless.

What glue should I use to reattach the mesh?

Cheers,

Daniel

I used JB Weld on my ‘10 and had very good success with it. If your are not familiar with it, it is a 2 part quick cure epoxy that dries black. I removed the old clear epoxy from both mating surfaces and roughed up  the plate with a Dremel tool for better adhesion. Cleaned it with alcohol, applied the epoxy and clamped both pieces together ensuring it maintained the curve of the hull.

:plus1:

Dremel, JB Weld.  Exactly what I did.  Has held up well for several years now.
