So, after 26 pages of mostly non-sense....  I am supposed to be going out on an M240 this sunday. Anything specific people want me to look at, take pics of and such?  Unfortunately we won't be taking my 25 LSV out at the same time for direct comparison this time.

I would suggest getting as many pictures as possible and also some real world wave experience and pics.  That would suffice I would think.

Maybe more pictures of the cooler area and thoughts on how it functions? I agree it looks a bit funky.

I would like a full detailed report similar in quality to ones @IXFE provides.   (Non-biased or opposite of what @ahopkinsVTX would report)  

 Please take as many pictures, measurements, and report on the smallest details as you can..... I really need to know why I would buy a new Malibu over a Nautique.

So it looks like now that we have real life customer photo’s, the wave looks very nice, but doesn’t look remarkably bigger/better than something like a 25LSV or 23/24MXZ. What say you @robbieg247?

I had a m235 and the wave is better on the 240 for sure . It is super firm and has a ton of push .

Thank you for the “in-use” pics. Looks to be causing the case of the big smiles. Hope you and your family enjoy that boat.

I was wondering if you optioned for the extended Bimini that can potentially cover the complete front and rear part of the boat. 

 

Im in the stage of life that we travel to our local lake with 5-6 newborns/toddlers and the idea of having that coverage in the AZ sun would be perfect instead of carrying an ez up. 

 

Would like to get some feedback if you have that option and more pics if possible.

That was the photo shoot boat but it did have it . We are not going to get it , we rarely even put up our bimini. It is definitely nice if your looking to have complete coverage over the entire boat tho .

I had 24MXZ and wake and wave was excellent also , can you describe a little more driving experience M240 compared to M235 , how is the quality exterior and interior, noise of engine , performance ? How is the most expensive sound system works.

OK, so after spending a day on on the M240, and recently having tested the 2019 24MXZ, 2020 23MXZ, 2019 23LSV and 2019 25LSV, which resulted in us buying a 25LSV, here are my thoughts.

First, i watched from the shore while they used it to wakebaord a bit, the amount of spray struck me as being a ton of spray, and a huge rooster tail type prop wash. That being said, the wakeboard wake at 23 was large, rampy and crisp.  One of the guys out was rolling all manner of flips with huge air. My next thought, was, wow the bow comes close to the water when coming off plain.  It does dip more than i had anticipated seeing, and we did take a bit of water over the bow at one point, more on that in a bit.  

So we loaded on, swapping a few poeple off, meeting some new folks, and we end up with a crowd of 10 onboard, all average size adults, and my 13yo as the lightest person, at probably 120 lbs.  Fist impressions inside, its not really that different from an LSV or MXZ, little nicer cushions, but not a giant change.  So lets surf this beast. Ballast empty to fill, 2:58. yes i times it, and that was impressive.  Off we go, wake is huge, long and a nice clean face.  We surf, there are loads of smiles, honestly a TON of push on the wave, even in the flat.  You can ride along in the flats, never seen that before, didn't expect that either.  The wave is really tall too, and long..... easy enough to drift back 20+ feet and come back to the best part of the sweet spot.  Saying the wave is tall is kind of an understatement, it actually kind of hurts to fall off the top, especially if you land kind of sideways on your head like i did, its actually that big.  

One thing i did notice, is this boat PUSHES a wave in front of it, especially at wakebaord speed.  The lake was all glass today, except for us, and watching the boat from shore, i was amazed at just how many waves came ashore before the main wave of the wake.  This made for interesting docking at a couple points during the day, but other than that, not a real issue, just interesting.  

The boats nice Supercharged engine, and 18" prop provided a ton of power,  surfed at 12mph at like 2800 rpm, sorry, didnt grab a picture of that.  Good acceleration up to wakeboard speed, and ran very nicely at about 30 for cruising along.

Interior was comfy, basically just like a current MXZ or LSV, excelt that cooler area.  Personally, i really like the locker on our 25, and am not a fan of the cooler slide out/location on the 240.  It DOEs slide out all the way to allow access to the cooler, which can face either direction.  It get cramped if the wakeview bench is flipped open, and you have a crowd.  One person did use it as a seat for a while. Seems like they could have done more there, even if it isn't a full locker like in the 25.

The bow area was nice, and like my experience in the MXZ, you NEED people or weigh up there to really lengthen the wave.  Problems come with drivers not paying attention turning back to get fallen riders. You can dip the bow, much more easily thatn i anticipated, One of the bigest reasons for our upgrade this year was to reduce this problem, seems like this was a bit of a step backwards, or maybe just a compromise to make the sight lines much better, because the sight lines were significantly better then in the MXZs that we tested. Either way an unexpected concern on the flagship.  

The stereo, well we didn't really test it that hard, too much talking and laughing, which is more how we seem to use the boat anyway, so i can't help much there.

So if you read all that, you deserve some pics, so a few of those for you all.

The supercharged engine, its great, but its WAYYYY down into the hull and i sure wouldn't want to have to work on it.

The rear lockers are just gigantic, without pnp bags in them.
