HOw long does a well done ceramic coating last? Our boating season is about 4 months. Boat sits in covered dock when not in use.

thanks and appreciate all the great input.

Years in that case I would think. “Well done” is the fine print to look at. I’d think two very well applied coats on top of a detox’d boat with all contaminants removed and the surface well prepped.

A wash and single application doesn’t count.

An easier way to go is a polymer sealant. You might just have to do that twice a year at the beginning and end of the season. The labor isn’t trivial for ceramic. Watch some videos of the Marine Mano Shop stuff for an idea.

If the boat isn’t brand new it’s going to be a fair bit of work just getting the gel back to new looking. Once the ceramic is on that is the way it’ll keep looking. Like putting a clear bra on a car with rust.

Has anyone used anything from Dura-Coating? I purchased some of their metal polish and is worked amazingly well and was wondering about their ceramic products.
